My mom's tree split in half during a recent storm. Tino's was working nearby, and we asked for an estimate. The crew showed up the same day and went to work. The crew worked hard to get tree down and then cleaned up. Fair price. Excellent experience. Highly recommend Tino's Tree Service.

We had an emergency with part of our tree falling on the house. He came out on a Sunday and gave us an estimate. Tuesday they showed up bright and early and by 10:30 am the entire tree was gone. They were so awesome! I would highly recommend using them! Even left me some mementos upon request.

Tinos Tree service provided excellent response time to the recent storm damage. Came on a Sunday evening to remove limbs that were on a vehicle and cleared a path to the front door. They came promptly the next morning to remove the tree and grind the stump. Staff were courteous and answered all my questions during a difficult time. They are very reasonably priced and overall customer service was excellent!!

Trusted Residential Tree Service in Louisville, KY

Trusted Residential Tree Service in Louisville, KY

Most Louisville yards are shaded by maples, oaks, tulip poplars, and sycamores, with redbuds and dogwoods out front. Each one needs different care. Fast-growing silver maples tend to drop limbs in storms, while older oaks in established neighborhoods need careful pruning to stay healthy for decades.

Local weather adds to the strain. Spring storms, humid summers, and winter ice all stress trees and break weak branches without warning. Our residential tree care keeps your trees in good shape through every season, so small problems get handled before they reach the house.

Our residential tree care services keep your trees healthy through every season, despite the challenges. Local homeowners trust us to protect their homes and properties with peace of mind.

Tree Work on Tight City Lots

Plenty of Louisville homes don’t leave much room to work. Shotgun houses in Germantown, Schnitzelburg, and Portland sit on narrow lots with no truck access to the backyard, and older neighborhoods have lines running right through the canopy.

Our crews take large trees down in controlled sections, lower heavy limbs with ropes, and carry debris out by hand when equipment can’t get through. Your roof, fence, and garden stay protected the whole time.

How Our Service Works

Initial Assessment and Free Estimate

Call us and we'll visit your property, often the same day. We look at the tree, the access, and what's around it, then give you a clear price before any work starts.

Permit Handling (If Required)

Some tree removals in Louisville need city approval, especially near public right-of-ways. If yours does, we handle the paperwork.

Safe and Efficient Tree Work

Our crew uses proper rigging and equipment to take trees down or trim them without damaging your roof, lawn, or landscaping.

Cleanup & Disposal

We haul away limbs, logs, and debris and rake the area before we leave. If you'd like to keep firewood or a piece of the tree, just ask.

Signs Your Home Needs Professional Tree Care

Most of the calls we get from Louisville homeowners come down to a few local problems. Catching the warning signs early is almost always cheaper than dealing with a limb through the roof.

Dead branches hanging over the house

Summer thunderstorms and winter ice snap weak limbs every year, especially on silver maples and older poplars. Have them looked at before the next storm finishes the job.

Tree leaning toward your home

A new or growing lean usually means the roots are failing.

Cracks in the tree trunk are visible

Splits often open wider under wind and ice, and a split trunk can let go without warning.

Leaves browning at the edges or dropping early

Bacterial leaf scorch hits oaks, maples, and elms here, and anthracnose strips sycamores and dogwoods in wet springs. Both cause dieback that leaves dead wood overhead.

Mushrooms growing around the tree base

Much of Jefferson County sits on dense clay that construction packs even tighter. Roots struggle, water sits, and root rot sets in. Mushrooms at the base are often the first sign of trouble underground.

Branches touching power lines nearby

Common in older neighborhoods like the Highlands and Clifton, where mature trees grow right through the lines.

An ash tree with a thinning canopy or peeling bark

Emerald ash borer has killed a large share of Louisville's ash trees. An infested ash turns brittle fast and gets more dangerous to remove the longer it stands.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to remove a tree in Louisville, KY?

Tree cutting costs depend on size, location, and the difficulty of access around your home. It also depends on your tree species and age. We provide honest estimates with no hidden fees. Call us for your free estimate today.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my property in Louisville?

Trees fully on your own property usually don’t need a city permit. Trees in the public right-of-way, like the strip between the sidewalk and the street, are different. Louisville Metro requires an Urban Forestry permit to remove or plant those trees, or to prune more than 10% of the canopy, even though the homeowner is responsible for their upkeep. Permits can take up to two weeks, so we’ll tell you during the estimate if one is needed and handle the request for you.

Do you offer emergency tree work after a storm?

Yes! We provide 24-hour emergency response and storm damage cleanup in Louisville and surrounding areas. Our crew reaches you quickly to remove fallen trees or trees near power lines after storms hit.

Can you grind the stump the same day you remove the tree?

In most cases, yes. If the stump is easy to reach, we’ll grind it right after the removal so you’re not stuck with it.

Who is responsible for a tree that falls from a neighbor's yard?

It usually depends on whether the tree was healthy or visibly dead or damaged before it fell. Your homeowner’s insurance is the first call. We can remove the tree and give you documentation for your claim.

Can I get a free estimate?

Absolutely! We offer same-day free estimates for all residential tree care. Our local team will visit your property and provide honest pricing with no surprise fees or pressure.
